Pupil Voice

Pupil Voice is a valuable part of Compass School as it encourages pupils to take responsibility for their education and the environment in which they learn in. It also encompasses our school aims by challenging our pupils to achieve in their education and life, giving the best help possible and asking what our pupils think, feel and need while also listening and responding.

We have 12 Pupil Voice representatives across the school which comprises of 3 in North, 3 in East and 6 in West. Pupils are encouraged to participate in discussions with their peers and bring their ideas and opinions to monthly meetings where we can discuss and problem solve them together. We will always endeavour to make adaptations and put solutions into place where possible.

Individual zone meetings are held once every half term and representatives are responsible for sharing the minutes with their classmates. Further to this, a representative from each individual meeting will then be invited to attend an overall meeting within the same half term.

The current secretaries for Pupil Voice are the pastoral leads in each zone who are responsible for organising the agenda, compiling minutes from each meeting and providing feedback to all staff on behalf of the Pupil Voice.
